Arv Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Just picked up 2 of these with the labor day weekend sales. I got the real blue Gill and real shad. I was wondering what conditions you use these under? Thanks. Quote
1234567 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 <---------Look, there's a buzzjet there! This night there was actually a stiff breeze and on the slow retrieve the lure just stopped and I knew a good one sucked it down. Love wind with those and at night with a slight breeze. All my good fish 6# or larger came by barely crawling it along the surface. One of my favorite baits. 1 Quote
JustinHarantFishing Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Never used emm but i herd a breeze and overcast Quote
TorqueConverter Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Great wake bait. I like them at night with long pauses. Quote
Bass_Fanatic Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 I've never caught a fish on mine. I normally end up taking it off and just throwing a G2 shell cracker instead. They make some racket though! Quote
Maico1 Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Flat water to a light chop with overcast to a bright sunny day.... I like a slow and steady retrieve just as it starts to rattle and buzz at the same time which is what I call the zone that it becomes productive. That being said I also like to fish it sort of like walking the dog only letting it wobble 3 or 4 times then pausing it and then repeating. The strike normally comes at the pause or at the start up, either way it is one of my favorite T W baits. 1 Quote
IAY Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Is the heddon torpedo as productive? One is a prop bait, other is prop/wake/crank hybrid. Different animals. Quote
