OntarioFishingGuy Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 They're OK jigs. Not the greatest, but they will still catch fish. Quote

Phew....that's a long sentence. I haven't fished those jigs specifically but jigs do get hung up fairly easily in cover. I wouldn't hold that against the jig. Quote
Vancestilley Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 hahha could have used a few commas or a period somewhere in there... lol Quote
Vancestilley Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 i fish jigs quite a bit though it just seems they dont come through what other jigs will. Quote

PersicoTrotaVA Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I try and bend the weed gaurd down the to the hook so its almost touching it. This will help it come thru cover better without getting hung up. I try and buy models that already have the weedguard close to the hook outta the box. Quote
Super User WRB Posted September 5, 2014 Super User Posted September 5, 2014 Your problem isn't the Gripper jig and you shouldn't blame the jig by name unless there is a design flaw. There is some skill involved learning how to work a jig through heavy cover. Your tackle, type of rod/ reel and line and type of trailer all play a roll. Tom Quote
