Hi all,

I usually rig a Keitech Swing Impact with a hook that already has a weight embedded on it and it swiims perfectly. Usually after a bite the Keitech does not screw on to the holder so I thought what if I try straight texas rig. The Keitech just keeps rolling, I went to Keitech's website and they do it Texas but it doesn't roll. Is there something they are doing that keeps it from spinning?

just trying to get the most out of each bait. ^^

I fish these all the time and they tend to roll without a belly weight type hook.

SO not possible to rig them with no weight correct? Not sure how they show video of it on Keitech's site =\

 To keep the bait from spinning there are a few options;

You can use a weighted swim bait hook as you mentioned, you can put the bait on a jig head or you can use an EWG hook and this new rig from Freedom Lures.

 I just started using it this season and it's pretty sweet.

Sometimes a bullet weight in front of it can keep it from rolling and you can push a nail weight across the bottom of it but it needs to be pretty perfect. Also lately I have been wrapping some suspend strip around normal non weighted hooks and I don't know why I actually have not done that sooner. What even prompted me to do this was fishing buzz frogs and them not always running one the correct side. If you use a weighted swimbait hooks it fixes the issue no problem but I feel they are usually to heavy and even more so when you start getting into the 5 and 6 size hooks. A couple little pieces of suspend strip wrapped around the hook nice and tight works wonders.

The Keitech website has it rigged in such a manner that it looks weightless, but there are 2 nail weights in the belly of the bait.  Sort of pointless to me, the last thing I want to do is puncture a really soft bait more than needed.

I think you are talking about the swing impact fat, which has a lot more body than regular swing impact and two holes meant for the tungsten nail weights. Regular swing impact is recommended to be rigged with a jig head.

I know. All swing impacts roll weightless. Just referring to the mention of the weightless Keitech on their website.
