Super User FishTank Posted September 2, 2014 Author Super User Posted September 2, 2014 It will be a while before I can get it but a new NRX will be in my hands sometime in October. I am going with 853C Green. I also did a little research as to why my new 783 is a little different... I found out G. Loomis has new ovens that cure their material in a more consistent manner and a new painting system. Not sure how this improves or changes the rod I have but it is noticeable. I also have not counted out that the rod may have, over time, become less sensitive due to usage but this is just a theory. Quote

THE_Vue's Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Some where I heard G.loomis no longer uses the Wild Card. That its been discontinued edit: so people with there NRX cards they could still be used but the wild card i remember somewhere in mid April 2014 when they discontinued it Quote

In the mean time, I have a Core 101MG that I have been using for the past 7 years. It works like it is brand new. I can't wait for the new rod to come in though..... Quote
