So I stopped at a Walmart I never go to because I had to grab a couple quick things. Any ways I decided to check out what they had in the fishing section. Of course that was going to happen. Well I found one of those Falcon Bucco casting rods they carry and most of them said something like $129 but marked down to $99. Any ways I found one that was marked down to like $20 and after I rang it up it came to $21. It was a 6'6" MH 1/4-3/4 oz I think. I mean for $21 I had to buy it.

Nice find! I always swing by the fishing dept whenever I'm at Wally World because of stories like this!

They clearanced them out last year. How much depends on your store but there's quite a few people who picked them up for $20-25. I've bought 3 for that price.

I picked up a 7ft med spinning for 32 bucks same walmart errors. Only mine had a abu garcia vigilante tag on it lol

Happened to me with the Abu Vendetta rod.  Had no tag but a sticker saying $30.  They are still selling there for over $70 at other WalMarts.  Just yesterday I got the biggest plano elite KVD bag for $35.  I have also seen these in excess of $65.

There are always hidden treasures at Wally World.

Only bad part about them being mis-labeled although a great find, no warranty due to no proof of purchase.  But then finding a $100 rod for $21 I guess that really isn't an issue if you break it.  You are only out $21. They don't have the smartest people working in their fishing departments at all for sure.

Ya I actually also got a Plano tackle bag. It is the real tree one and came with 4 7500's and it was only $15$. Just the boxes alone cost that much or more.

Killer deals. Your right the people working at Wally World generally are not the sharpest hook in the tackle box.

We have a Wal-Mart up the street from us.  I don't shop there any more but I decided to check it out today and even though it is a huge store, they have very little in the way of fishing gear.  One other thing I noticed is their prices were the same and if not higher than Dick's Sporting Goods.  They had a stack of dusty, rusted fishing lures on clearance but that was it.

This Wal-Mart use to be bad but now it is even worse.  It was a total dump.  It use to be OK during the day and crazy at night.  Now it seems to be scary all day long.  Oddly enough, the Sam's Club next door is nice.

I must have been raised too well, because there is no way in hell I'd buy a higher end rod miss-tagged as a lower end product.  I'd have to let them know about the mistake and move on.  This is coming from a guy who hates Walmart.  All of you in this thread are some stone cold shoppers.

Only at WelfareMart would I scoop up a misprint without remorse. Anywhere else I'd care.

Let me tell you something about how much Walmart even cares. My buddy is the general manager for a chain of stores called the xchange. They buy or give store credit on electronics, music, video games, ect. Well people would come in and try to sell stuff that is clearly stolen and has walmart tags still on it. He would call Walmart all the time about it and every time they would say it doesn't matter to us and just keep it and that they will write it off any ways. He kept trying to call them for the longest time about stolen items and never once did they care even on big dollar items like TV's and stuff. He won't even try to let them know about it anymore because after trying a insane amount of times they just don't care.

It's pretty crazy but thats the truth.
