It seems to me that usually the gf's or wives aren't nearly as hardcore into fishing as the guys. I know my girl could care less about fishing. My bro's girl on the other hand will fish but she's not an avid fisherman. She'll just take whatevers given to her and fish it. Because she'd rather catch fish and doesn't care how, I hooked her line up with a Zoom Super Fluke in white pearl on a hook with a twistlock and she always catches fish. Usually nothing big, but it's consistent and easy to fish and pretty weedless also. When I went fishing with my friend he set up his wife with a white Gary Yamamoto Double Tailed Hula Grub T-Rigged Weightless and she caught a ton of fish. She caught so many in fact it made me wonder why none of us were using it. We were all using spinnerbaits, cranks, Jigs, and other baits. It seems to me that we set up our significant others with baits that are really effective but for some reason are against using that bait ourselves.

Sometimes it seems that the significant other's bait is so good that we should be using it. But stubbornly we keep using other baits.

So what lure do you rig your significant other up with?

A soft plastic of some sort, a small spinnerbait, inline spinners etc...

Something light where they can cast it on a spinning setup with ease and not get tired, also a bait that has room for error.

My last gf really liked using the little booyah pond magic spinnerbaits, http://www.booyahbaits.com/booyah-pond-magic

My wife has as many fishing rods as I do, and just as much tackle.  She rigs what she wants, lands her own fish, and can drive the boat.

Suffice to say, I don't mess with her gear.  Otherwise I'll "disorganize" it.  LOL!

The smart bet is to give them a bait that produces. If they get bored you can pretty much call it a day.

Mine gets a 5" Yamamoto grub in watermelon/black flake on a 1/4 oz darterhead... catches a surprising amount of fish considering she'd rather just sunbathe. My young daughters get 4" Yamamoto kut tails in smoke/black flake on a 1/8 oz light wire jighead and frequently catch so many fish I have to put my rod down and focus on taking bass off hooks and re-rigging. Have to admit I love it when that happens.

Grubs, small cranks, or a wacky rig. My wife outfishes me on a regular basis when she does go with me, which is what I hope for every time we go together.

If I rig her rods, she kicks my butt.  Size or numbers, it doesn't matter.  She picks what she wants and she still kicks my butt.  Either way what she doesn't know is that I let her because I like keeping her happy.

Normally she likes a Senko and a Bandit 200 series crank, but she will throw a Jitterbug if I'm getting blow-ups on a buzzbait and not connecting.

I'll rig mine up with a little something from Victoria's Secret.

I do the same thing, with the same results. I want her to catch plenty of fish.

My girlfriends favorite lures to use are frogs, crankbaits, swim baits, and now her favorite lure is the chatterbait (she says she likes the way it feels) she picked up 4 of the mini ones last night at Dicks

i started her off with a senko, and she rigs them herself.  She now fishes a philips crippled killer (topwater prop bait) and she loves it.
