Dypsis Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Having trouble what to store my spinner baits in - all 3 of them at the moment, but more in due time. Do you use the plano spinnerbait boxes (or similar) they weem to have good reviews overall? Quote
FrogFreak Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 I just store mine in a Plano 3700 box that doesn't have the smaller compartments. I'm not sure of the actual number. Quote
Super User Raul Posted August 25, 2014 Super User Posted August 25, 2014 Long term storage -----> Plano Spinnerbait Box ( holds around 100 lures ) Everyday use foot patrol equipment ----> Flambeau Spinnerbait box ( holds 6 spinnerbaits ) Boat use -----> BPS spinnerbait binder ( back then it was a Bassmasters binder , today it´s a Browning binder ). Super User Munkin Posted August 26, 2014 Super User Posted August 26, 2014 I have at least 8 different spinnerbait boxes that all work depending on how many baits I plan on carrying. Wal-Mart sells a small one that holds a few (6-9) baits that I use when wading or have to carry minimal tackle. Remember the Maryland rule for spinnerbaits: any color works as long as it is white. adam lancia Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I was using Flambeau's big mouth spinnerbait box which was great except for it's awkward size. That honking thing doesn't fit in any tackle box or bag very easily. The smaller one from Plano isn't much better for being able to put it somewhere. I started using Plano's newer 3700 size spinnerbait tray. So far, so good. It's not as versatile for buzzbaits and double arms spinnerbaits but I can manage trying to find space for a few awkwardly sized lures, versus one huge awkwardly sized box. Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 26, 2014 Global Moderator Posted August 26, 2014 I use a Falcon spinnerbait box but that would be pretty serious overkill for 3 baits. I think they make a wallet sized one too if you want a smaller box. Quote
VegasFishing Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 An old caselogic CD wallet/binder. Make sure they are dry before putting them back in after use. Quote

Shockwave Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I also use the Plano 3700 and am pretty happy with it. I have about 25 or so spinnerbaits in it and the only complaint I have is that the skirts can sometimes get pinched in the holders but that's just me being nitpicky. Quote
