doyle8218 Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Does anyone know of any soft body frogs that float other than Zman. I mean truly float. Cast em out and just let it float on it's own. Quote
KritterGitter Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Spro bronzeye 65 frog works well for me, I haven't had any issues with it sinking , now the bronzeye shad on the other hand seems to sink in a matter of seconds... Quote

KritterGitter Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Ohhhh I got ya bud, read the OP wrong. I would be interested to know also, the only experience with soft body frogs Ive had are the YUM and they sink like a rock... Quote

Also Stanley and others are great but when you pause them they sink. Zman are good floaters but don't have the weight that others do. Quote
doyle8218 Posted August 25, 2014 Author Posted August 25, 2014 Stanley top toad. That's hollow body not soft body. But it does float. I want a solid frog like Zman. Quote
Super User Sam Posted August 25, 2014 Super User Posted August 25, 2014 Nope. I can't recall any. Remember, the "toads" are configured to run on the surface via the speed of your retrieve. If you slow down they will sink, which they are designed to do. Come on guys, if anyone out there knows of a floating "toad" please let us know. And no "mother-in-law" or "ex-wives" comments, please. 1 Quote
DTack Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 This isn't what you're asking perfectly but the Snag Proof Bass Kicker frog is kind of a mix... it has kicker legs and is hollow body, but it does float and has "swimming" type legs. Not sure it would be what you're looking for but would be the closest I know of. Quote
Super User Master Bait'r Posted August 25, 2014 Super User Posted August 25, 2014 That's hollow body not soft body. But it does float. I want a solid frog like Zman. Not gonna happen man. If it's solid it's gonna sink! Culprit (iirc) has a soft bodied frog/toad like that but it's still hollow in the middle otherwise it would sink. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted August 25, 2014 Super User Posted August 25, 2014 There used to be a floating Ribbit. Quote

Got1Fishing Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I would also say the Damiki Air Frog. Cool bait. I love it and it always flips upright after landing. The only thing is that I can't walk the dog with it Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted August 26, 2014 Super User Posted August 26, 2014 The damiki air frog. Quote
ec1 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Sizmic toads makes a few floating versions. They're not my favourite toad, but if floating is 100% necessary... Quote
