Went there today to scout it out, and the lakes looks decent.  Supposedly it was stocked with Bass, Catfish, Crappie, White Perch and Bluegill.  Just curious is anyone has fished it before or had more info on the Bass fishing there.  Seems very shallow.

Edit: I'm refering to only the Lake at Northwest River Park in Chesapeake, Va

Yes, I fished it many years ago.  There are some bass in there, and some decent ones, but it can get very busy and the pressure is pretty high.  They stock it with trout in the winter.  I tried it several times and wrote it off.

Did you get any bass there? Any size? What did you catch them on?  I'd like to give the place a try, it's just not really close to me so don't wanna waste my precious fishing time if there any much there

Tannic water...

Black/blue....jigs. Truck worms. Whacky rigs. Texas rig weightless with trick worms...

Tough place to fish.... The river is worse....

Catchemall!!

The river has been exceptional.  It takes nearly 20 lbs. to win on Saturday tourneys (26.32 was the largest bag recently).

Let me know how it goes. I'm interested in fishing thy place when I come down to visit. I heard they have a feast when the trout are stocked so I would try using a swim bait/crankbait that looks like a brown or rainbow trout.

Good luck.

Yep I know about that sack.... That place still has my name.... I've gotta get better there.

No doubt the fish are there, in just bringing the wrong grenades....

I know that feeling.  The Wednesday night tourneys out of Bob's have not been kind to me lately.  I've been fighting to get a few keepers in the boat.

If your using a swimbait or a crankbait, it better be a wakebait, as the deep spots look to be around 4 feet.  I went out today and had a few bites on a Tx rigged worm, and a few dinks.  Nothing special but I'll keep trying for a while
