Hi all,

I finally have a good setup for the BBZ 6inch floater but haven't had a hit yet. What are the conditions you look for to use it?

Thanks in advance, still looking for that hit to make it worth the time ....

High percentage areas when the fish are active/feeding up. May seem like a "no brainer" type of answer but that's the bottom line. Dawn/dusk are always good topwater times but I've had big fish eat topwater baits mid day many times. It is a bigger bait so be patient and keep grinding. You'll be rewarded for your efforts. It helps if you know the area holds big fish, but 2lbers will have no problem smashing that bait.

Shaded areas, boat docks. Fish slow, pause rip, watch for followers.  The fish will tell you what interests them.  You just have to figure out what you need to do to get them to react and strike once they do follow it. I also paint all my hooks a flat black or white so there isn't any shine on the hooks.  I don't know if it helps but I know it doesn' t hurt either.
