Super User Catch and Grease Posted August 24, 2014 Super User Posted August 24, 2014 Its different on a day to day basis, although lately I have been starting out with buzzbaits. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 24, 2014 Global Moderator Posted August 24, 2014 I let the fish and conditions dictate what I start with and it changes almost every trip. Lately it's been a jig a lot it seems like. Quote
Super User Oregon Native Posted August 24, 2014 Super User Posted August 24, 2014 With all the rods on the deck it's usually a feelin when I pull up to the place I want to start. So many choices...so little time Quote
Super User Raul Posted August 24, 2014 Super User Posted August 24, 2014 I arrive at the lake, take a look at how the lake looks like, take a look at how the sky looks like ( I don´t pay too much attention at the weather forecast because there are a lot of variables even within specific áreas like ) and tie baits to my setups according to what I see, ( worm T- rigged and shakeyhead rigged, spinnerbait, lipless crank, deep diver ) and I´m ready to go. Topwater baits are at the bottom of my list. Quote
RonnieGarrison Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I try to adapt to conditions, but as I get older and older seems I fish slow baits a lot more - worms and jigs mostly. Last night in a club tournament at West Point I had over a dozen rods rigged and ready - and used exactly four. Drop shot from five pm to about six, buzzbait as it got dark, then jig and pig and Mag 2 worm the rest of the night. Quote
