I dunno. You'd be leaving out some people like Tom Petty and Bob Seger. I'm not saying 50's and 60's music isn't very good (it is), but other decades have some strong stuff as well.

I think we all for the most part favor the music from our era. There are of course exceptions. I like 50's & 60's music, but that's where I'm from. My daughter loves it. But my son likes 80's music.

Now, a killer question.

Who likes "DISCO"....Bwa ha ha!

Back in the early 80´s disco music LP´s were burned in a public stadium in a huge pire, should we say a funerary pire ? very appropiate ! Donna Summer lost her job in that decade.

I like some of the Disco music,  a couple of bands that come to mind are KC and the Sunshine Band, The Bee Gee's  and The Gap Band.  There were others that I enjoyed back then, but like most I believe it was probably the worst era for music in a long while.

To me when someone says rock and roll, I think of bands like the Doors, The Who, Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and many many others from what I consider the best era of music ever.

I liked disco music, Bee Gee's and soundtrack from Saturday Night Fever.  I keep Dr.Buzzard's Original Savannah Band and Kid Creole on flash drive to play in my car.
