In before the haters. Ha!

I don't own one, but I have used one for about 6hrs before. ..... I like it alot. Smooth. *shrug* as nice as any other reel in the price range. Pretty much any reel in the 100-150 range is going to be just fine in almost any situation.

I can't speak for any KVD stuff because I refuse to buy stuff with people's name's on it. The only name I like on the stuff I buy is the company name. That aside, my Quantum is a sweet reel. I wouldn't mind having 1, 2, or 10 more.

I have a Tour KVD and its smooth.  I have no experience with the reel to which you're asking about specifically.  However, I will be honest and tell you up front that I own several Quantums, and no dis to the brand at all, but I highly recommend coming into this brand at $150 and up to guard against QC issues.  Look around on the interweb, fleabay and some others and you can find good reels.  The older Tour Edition goes for $150-160 nib on fleabay, and although it is a heavier reel it is a real workhorse and will do anything you need it to as long as you maintain it.

Right now at dicks they have the quantum smoke 100 in the 7 ratio for $149.95 just that one version. The smokes are solid reels and real smooth I love the ones I have and that's a great deal for it usually $200.

Bill Dance uses a Quantum Smoke 100.  That man could fish with whatever he wanted, sponsored or not.

If you really want a Quantum, Smokes should be available on the bay for around $100.

They are fine reels that don't need someone's name to sell them. Actually if you shop around you might be able to find an Exo for under $150.

I picked the smoke up at Dicks (spinning) and love it. Got for just under $100, retails for $180.

If I were to buy a quantum the smoke would be where my money would go. I've fished with the kvd reels and didn't care for them
