FrogFreak Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 I am happy with where I'm at but when I look back to where I was 2 years ago, I realize I've learned so much since then. So I'm betting that in 2 years I'll look back at where I'm at now and think the same thing. I am getting very good at certain techniques but I have sacrificed other techniques to get there. So what do you do? I choose to be happy with my skills that I have obtained and I'm hopeful that I'll acquire new skills in the future. For example, 2 years ago I had no idea what a drop shot was and now I am very confident with that technique. Top water frogs had me stumped 2 years ago but now I find myself looking for an excuse to throw them. This is a journey that I enjoy more than anything else. I hope it never ends!! Quote
ColdSVT Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Reading through these I get an idea that the cup is half empty for some and half full for others. For example, someone is unhappy because there's always more to learn. On the other hand, I'm content knowing that I will learn more. I think a lot of folks are saying the same thing, but feel quite differently about it. For many, it's the journey, not the destination. Just some thoughts. Josh Agree...i love learning more and more about bass! Now if i could just translate my passion for bass fishing into my job lol Quote
