berkley Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 i love fishing with them but i have no clue on how to make them but are they worth making or should i just go buy them Quote
BASS fisherman Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 http://www.staminainc.com/main.html There is a link to get you started. Look at one of the spinnerbaits you own, and figure out what all you need to make your own. I got their catalog and I think it will cost you around $60.00 to make 50 spinnerbaits. Maybe a little less. I can't remember. If you'd go to the store and buy 50 spinnerbaits you'd pay well over $100.00. Quote
vtbassin Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I love to fish spinnerbaits too ;D and I am considering building some custom spinnerbaits myself. Quote
stumpanic Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I started making my own spinnerbaits this year and found alot of resources on the web. Stamina and Jannsnetcraft have been the best component providers for my experiments. I've tried alot of styles and weights and have had alot of good results. The main thing I found is to not go to big on blades. Stamina has a great component size chart and guide for making spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. It is alot of fun and I find I spend alot of time experimenting with different components and skirt combo's. You can build alot of high quailty baits a whole lot cheaper than you can buy them and that makes the wife alot more happier. Quote
