Jeremy Wade is coming back for the 2015 year with new stuff!!! But animal planet has yet to air some reruns since the season close last month. I went to Barnes and Noble and they have all of his DVDs. They are like 5 or 6 seasons with a handful of episodes. But each set is $30. I love this show. So cool and inspiring me to go out and get some new species.

Netflix has a couple seasons of River Monsters. Good to hear he's coming back with new stuff.

I like his show and i also like Monster Fish too, less drama and more scientific in my opinion but both go after some crazy large fish.

I like Jeremy Wade and his show, as well, but Discovery Communications has lost a lot of my respect of late. I can deal with the drama of River Monsters, even though Larry Dahlberg catches many of the same fish without the added, edited, drama. Still a good show.

But when they venture into downright fabrication for sake of TV, I don't like it. At least Discovery channels used to be about "real science"...but times have changed, I suppose.

I realize their shows are money-makers, and lots of fun for many, but I prefer when "science" is actually real, and not pseudo-science. Where real scientists aren't lied to, or given sketchy info so as to keep them aboard to finish the shoot, then edited to make it look like they support a dubious claim such as a "Voodoo Shark".

Shark Week, in particular, has been a study in underhanded, downright deceptive behavior on behalf of the channel.

Man, I'm going to go back to watching History Channel's Ancient Aliens. Now THERE's real stuff. <JOKE>

Monster fish is terrible about putting their clips together. One shot he's fighting a fish on a baitcaster, next it's a spinning reel. The guy on that show is self admittedly not an avid fisherman, so that takes some of it away for me. If they could pair the drama of River Monsters with the science of Monster Fish it would be a great show.

I prefer Monster Fish.

I hardly watch any fishing shows, I do catch a SW program once in a while.  Being primarily a SW angler many of these shows have to be staged and edited, it just isn't that easy.

i never saw those types of bad edits on Monster Fish but i did see them on River Monsters.  I kind of like that the guy isn't a fisherman myself.
