To say that I have way too many soft plastics would be assuming there are limits and I don't put limits on many things.  It does get to be a hassle when it comes time to go fishing without my favorite tackle box, my boat.  I 'discovered'  the Flambeau Super Half Satchel fits my needs when I need to take a manageable number of plastics.  I was using a worm bag prior to discovering this little beauty of a 'take and go' system.

For any of you that are exploring options for storing your plastics that gives you easy identification and access, check one out.  They're a nice addition to your storage system.

I go to WM and pick out a rectangular plastic container with lid to store my soft plastics in their original package .

I have a container each for : Worms , Creature Baits , Craws and Trailers ...Works for me .

I use soft sided 6 pack coolers. Currently I have 3 full of plastics. Mine have a pocket in front which I use to store hooks for the plastic that's inside the cooler.

So putting them in the bottom half of my tacklebox isn't smart?

Only if it doesn't work for you.  As long as you can find what you're looking for.  "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
