SteveKickinBass Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 How are you guys making your molds for plastics? I've seen some pictures of really nice looking ones that are laser cut and everything, but they look expensive. I also read about people making their own...I'm just curious. I want to get into all this stuff this winter and I'm gathering a lot of info before I "dive" in. Quote

SteveKickinBass Posted November 17, 2006 Author Posted November 17, 2006 Yeah, I should have read a few more threads before posting. I found another thread about several places to get moldings and things...oops. ;D Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 you can use resin, plaster of paris, and a few other materials. There are a couple tutorials up on the menu bar I was reading yesterday. I'm in the same boat as you. I ordered all the stuff to start making some bait. I cant wait. Quote
SteveKickinBass Posted November 18, 2006 Author Posted November 18, 2006 I came across several nice aluminum molds today, but some are just 1 sided. Do you think it's possible to pour your mold, let it dry and take it out, then pour again and place the previous mold over the top of that so you can have a complete mold and not a mold with a flat side on it?
