Lew's Baitcast Reels : Favorite Reels For Which Applications ?

A larege line capacity and a slow gear ratio on the Lew's BB-1 go hand in hand and are a perfect match with cranking applications ... I want to hear from Lew's owners what other Lew's baitcast reels  , gear ratios and applications / tactics you feel are a perfect match for each other ?

Bb1 for cranks is 5.1

Super duty for frogs/pitching/punching in 7.1 (soon to be released 8.1)

Tournament pro for all purpose

The Lew's Super Duty may be under appreciated as compared to other reels in the Lew's line up .

I agree,  TTpro great multipurpose reel. Love , the  7.1:1 ratio for burning baits. Tournament MG, great workhorse reel as well. Use it for plastics, spinnerbaits, open water to light cover frogging.

I use the Super Duty reels with 25# P-Line PF on Dobyns 807 & 806 rods in all 3 gear ratios for swimbaits up to the 8" Hudds which are 4.8 oz.. I also throw  the 9" MS Slammer, 200 S-Waver, 230 Gan Craft, Lunker Punker etc. I know a little more line capacity would be idea/recommended for swimbaits, but it still works nicely and after spool gets down to a certain point I change my line out so it doesn't get to old. I also have the Tournament Pro for all purpose along with a BB1! I really like these reels and Lew's has been real good in customer service!!

Tournament Pro 7.1:1 for jigs and plastics.

 

Speed Spool 6.4:1 shallow cranks, topwaters

I use a tourney speed spool 7.1:1 for Chatterbaits, jigs, and sometimes crankbaits if I am burning them 

 

Currently have a super duty on my frog rod as well. 

 

I believe I am going to start transitioning all of my baitcasters to Lews as I can afford them - have never had an issue with any of these reels, and they are pretty affordable.

I've checked out the new Lews reels on TW's website (only pre-orders for now).  I can't tell much difference between the new Tournament MG vs the Tournament Pro, except that the Pro costs $60 more.  Any insights?  Is Lews just getting more competive pricing with the new stuff?

For the money and specs listed - the new Lew's reels look to be the better buy in their respective classes ...Until you use one though will not know if it is built as well as previous Lew's models .
