Hi Guys!

I just recently saved up the money to buy a decent combo (200ish) and I was wondering a few things.

  1. Revo SX vs. Lew's Speed Spool - Both 6:4:1
  2. After picking the reel would you rather have a Mojo Bass 7ft MH or a Veritas 7ft MH, or your choice around 100
  3. Is Lew's Discountiuing the Speed Spool because of new product in its place?
  4. If you have any of these combos for sale send me a PM!

Thanks Guys!

Brennan

The Revos and Lew's are built on the same platform, so it comes down to model features and price. The Mojo's an ok rod. The ones I've seen have handles on the shorter side which is alright with me but may not be good if you're obsessed with "balance".

I think the Mojo is a pretty decent rod. I've got a few and I like them.  Not super sensitive, but sensitive enough to get the job done.

I'll be honest, I really got into the Fenwick rods back in 2010 and for my money there isn't much better. I got an ET Smallouth rod that I liked and then added more of those and then I got into the Aetos line and those are tough to beat but I needed a new rod last year and got a HMG and it is really nice for $99.00 with a lifetime warranty. They aren't as light as the higher up series but they are still light for the price range but they have full rubberized cork handles that are thinner than some people care for, I happen to like it. If you like the split grip you may want to look at the other rods and that would include the *** Black series. Whatever you choose, make sure it is the best you can afford, but in all seriousness , most rods at that level are going to be decent.
