Super User OkobojiEagle Posted August 12, 2014 Super User Posted August 12, 2014 Who has a 2010 model Revo Winch (not current model or Toro model) and how does it cast spinnerbaits on windy days? oe Quote
Super User Jeff H Posted August 13, 2014 Super User Posted August 13, 2014 Me and my Revo's did not get along fishing against the wind, didn't matter what I was throwing except maybe traps. Otherwise they were ok. I did not have a Winch, but the SX's, and they were much the same except for gears and handle I believe... neither of which matters on the cast. Quote

The SX is magnetic braking the Winch has centrifugal. Quote

I'm a little spoiled, I've been fishing with a couple Morrum reels with mag brakes for several years... they are great into the wind. oe Quote
