Came in here to post this too. RIP Robin. Hopefully he's at ease with his inner Demons now. Great, great, talented man right there.

Amazing how so many comedians take their lives. Being extremely funny is sometimes just a cover-up for some deep mental illness...

Very sad as he was a very nice guy and great actor.

I have always loved Robin Williams, I saddens my heart to think that it finally come to this.  Great, great actor, Dead poets society, Good Will Hunting, Awakenings, Patch Adams, Mrs. Doubtfire and many others.

One of my favorites. A gifted actor and one of the best ever at ad libbed comedy. I have always admired his honesty and self-deprecating humor. It is sad that some of the most brilliant and creative minds have such troubled inner voices. I will miss him.

Unbelievable talent both as comedian and serious actor. He's one of my all time favorite people. I'm very sad at this news...

Genie will forever rest in his lamp.

On Twitter I said "a light of immense laughter just went out in the universe". Nobody will ever replace Robin.

He was a brilliant talent that often danced on the edge between light & dark.

Excellent comic and I think many people over-look or forget about his talents as an actor in serious roles. This, just like all suicides are a tragedy. Depression sucks. Alcoholism/drug addiction sucks. Especially when you can't imagine life with drugs and alcohol or without it; when sober even. I don't know if this was the case with him, but he went into rehab to maintain his sobriety so maybe.

Suicide is a very permanant solution to a temporary problem. Even when that chemical imbalance in your brain that is depression convinces you that it isn't temporary or is even worth the fight. But there are solutions. I understand that this is a bass fishing forum but suicide is serious and easily preventable. I am proof of that. I say all this because who knows, maybe this post will help someone.

I just hope Robin Williams found the peace he was seeking. Hopefully the "noise" stopped.

I couldn't believe it when I heard it.  I became a fan of his when Mork and Mindy was on tv.  R.I.P. Robin.

So sad!  I grew up watching reruns of Mork and Mindy and loved that guy ever since.  Extremely talented and made so many people smile and laugh.  Shame that he couldn't find peace in this life.  Pray that he is truly at peace now.

Here is a pic someone shared which made me smile.  He was truly one of a kind!   RIP Robin.

What a loss.

I remember Mork from Happy Days, and then of course, Mork and Mindy.  But what really blew me away was Robin's 1983 HBO special.  At the time, there was no comedy like his and it was so cutting edge.  I don't think there was a moment in the special where I wasn't laughing.  From then on, to me he was brilliant with one of the quickest minds in comedy.  You had to think fast with Mr Williams because he would be gone and on to the next joke while you were still trying to figure out what he just said.  He had a lot of great roles in movies, and like others, some that weren't so great.  I know we all know the ones that received attention like Good Will Hunting and Dead Poet's Society.  Going back to the second movie of his film career, I was very impressed with "The World According to Garp"  in 1982.  If you haven't seen it, I would highly recommend it.  I have to place "The Fisher King" up there with his best as well.

Robin Williams had Asperger's Syndrome. Its classified as a Autism Spectrum Disorder.

He was a great person that achieved great success in a profession that others with the same disorder wouldnt/couldnt even dream of doing.
