Ian Deery Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 While out fishing yesterday, I noticed the tension knob had fallen off one of my older reels, a Quantum TE1161PT. I've looked at the Quantum website, and thankfully, they have the part(s) I need. The reason I'm posting here is because I'm struggling to figure out what parts I've lost. Here's a link to the exploded diagram of the reel, http://www.quantumfishing.com/CustomerService/ReplacementParts.aspx?ProductID=2374, and a photo of the reel in question, DSC01397 by Ian Deery, on Flickr DSC01405 by Ian Deery, on Flickr Hopefully someone familiar with this reel will be able to help figure out what parts I need. Thanks you. Quote
kikstand454 Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 You lost the cap and the spring, also a little copper washer inside. Great reel! Quote
FSUMF333 Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Looks like you lost everything in the schematic. Parts 54,55,57a,b,&c. 1 Quote
kikstand454 Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 ^^^^ this is correct. I didn't notice but you lost your bearings too. So 54,55,56a, and 57a, b, c Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 ^^^^ this is correct. I didn't notice but you lost your bearings too. So 54,55,56a, and 57a, b, c Yes, everything from 54-57c. 54 is a rubber ring that goes around the threads on the side plate to keep the cap from loosening. The bearing goes in and is held in place by the wire clip. The rest stack inside the cap with a light oil film between. Quote
Ian Deery Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 Thanks for the help, everyone. I've ordered the replacement parts and hope to have the reel back on the water soon! 1 Quote
