Really enjoyed watching the Delaware tournament coverage. The final weigh in was hilarious. Dave Mercer normally has to work hard to get any noise from the crowd, but this time he was having to wait for them to calm down before he could speak! Great show. Ike did what he needed to do and was a big hit with the crowd in victory. Well done to all.

And Ike won it going away.

The crowd went nuts, especially when Ike ran up the steps into the crowd.

The Delaware River. Who would have thought anyone would catch over 40 pounds of largemouth bass on the Delaware River???

Looking forward to seeing the playback of the weigh in next weekend on TV.

Also looking forward to the replay on ESPN. Watching the live weigh-ins was awesome and I can only imagine how much better it will be in hi-def. That was my favorite non-Classic tournament to watch, hands down. Awesome job Ike!

My fellow Philadelphians showing that bass fishing is alive and well in this city. What a crowd. Seemed like there was a lot of negativity going into this event. Not a lot of fish, not a lot of big fish, blah blah blah. Well, in order to be the best you have to be able to catch em on every lake and river there is. It was great to see them grinding out limits of 1-3 pounders like the rest of us mere mortals. Lol. But it turned out great. Not to mention I got to spend a day with Tim Horton and another with Ish Monroe.

I think most of the moaning was not about the venue so much as about the week they were fishing it, or rather the tides they would be fishing. It seems to me that Bassmasters could have looked at the tide charts and booked the following week for the tournament, would have shown the fishery in a much better light and possibly made the result a little less certain?

Love him or hate him ... he is entertaining.  Way to rise up to the occasion!  For the record I am a big Ike fan.  :)

As an angler I have always looked up to Ike not only because of his work ethic but also his passion for the sport and for the fans. He has always gone above and beyond for not only his sponsors but everyone who talks to him. It truly gave me chills to see how emotional he was in front of his family and fans after he weighed his final five fish limit to win the event on his home water. I personally believe those that criticize Ike don't understand how passionate he is about the sport. He leaves it all on the water and it showed this week as he gave the tournament all he had left in the tank. Such an awesome win! His words of "Never Give Up" and what he said during the final weigh in of "Dreams do come true" should resonate with everyone who is passionate about what they love to do, especially everyone here on bassresource.com.

Apparently the Delaware fishes best with the last two hours of the ebb tide and the first hour of the flood. I believe they only caught a bit of that period over the four days. The tide times advance about 50 minutes each day. The following week the better period would have occurred while the anglers were on the water every day.
