From what I remember reading somewhere they are a custom made hook. The closest thing you will find is on ebay someone was selling 35 degree 5/0 Gama hooks.

Gamakatsu won't sell it to you but I wonder why everyone likes that hook. I bought 2 of those jigs, a 3/8oz and a 1/2oz and it doesn't seem special to me, it is basically a bottom contact jig with a swim jig profile with the 30 degree line tie. I personally have much more success and confidence in a 60 degree Owner 5304 deep throat hook but that is just me. Anyway, please help me understand what is so good about that hook.

Supposedly they never bend out because its a hook made for catching big tuna

I don't think they are custom bends, they are the same hook that Stanley and Dirty jigs use, I think booyah uses them in a model of jig also, I am going to grab one and melt the head down to see what hook is in there, something tells me its not custom bent.

It was said to be a custom 30 degree 6/0 hook that was originally designed for tuna according to what I read.

Im looking for a stout hook that wont bend. The only hook so far that ive found to stand up to multiple fish for me is the gammy 2034 ewg. .063 gauge. I've tried the owner 5304 and 5317, mustad 32786 and theyve all bent on me.

The gammy 2034 is a great hook and it works great for my jig sizes 5/16-9/16 however for my 3/4 arky mold it doesnt work, the hook is too close to the weedguard cavity. Also the gammy only comes in 4/0.

Here's what Greg Hackney has said about the hook -

(1) So it was no surprise last year when Strike King Lures, with whom Hackney is associated, came out with a its “Hack Attack” signature jig. The jigs come in 3/8 to 1 1/4-ounce sizes in nine colors, with a specially-designed head. A Gamakatsu black nickel heavy wire hook features a 30-degree line tie and is 3/0 in the smallest jig, 5/0 up to 1 ounce and 6/0 on the largest jig.

(2)  Armed with his desire to have the perfect Flippin’ jig, and the world class design team at Strike King, Hackney set out to produce his dream lure. The outcome would be a lure that is not for the faint of heart, one that would stand up to the rigors of heavy cover and big jaws of monster bass. “The Hack Attack is tweaked to perfection,” Hackney opined. “The weight is perfectly balanced to fall straight down; it has the perfect 34-strand weedguard and a 27-degree line tie on a heavy Gamakatsu saltwater hook.”

What are you doing that a .060 hook isn't strong enough? If you are catching bass that are that big then when are you inviting me up for a fishing trip.

Seriously!!! I use the Owner 5317 on my flipping jigs and never came close to bending one even with 50lb braid, I never tried it with 65 but I don't see a need to go heavier than 50, at least where I fish.

I'm using 50 lb braid with a heavy rod, fast action rod. I'm bending hooks, I think it's because of setting the hook on a slightly slack line sometimes. Sometimes I'm opening them on walleye and pike. Just go through a lot of jigs, can't make them fast enough lol. I just put an order in for some of the invader jigs from fishingskirts. Look like an interesting jig. apparently very stout.
