Opeth Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Hello Anyone and Everyone! I'm an avid fisherman from Massachusetts, I'm looking for tips and resources for expanding my hobby. I'm 26 and have been actively kayak-fishing for 2 years now, previously I was a mope on the shore losing interest in the sport. Being on the water and controlling my fishing spots has increased my catch number exponentially, and I mean that. I've just been doing some research and figured I would hop on a respectable forum for some good chats and info. So far by scale, my biggest catch is a 4 lb. 6 oz. largemouth, I have a pic of a bigger catch without a scale but with reference sizes that I was hoping to get an estimate with these forums. Hope some of you members are familiar with the northeast because I am willing to travel New England for the perfect fishing hole. Cheers from Mass. Quote
Opeth Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 I also have pictures that exceed the limit allowed on this forum, any suggestions on how to reduce the KB on the file is much appreciated. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted August 10, 2014 Super User Posted August 10, 2014 Welcome aboard. Depending on your platform, you can use something like "Preview" on the Mac and simply Save As, choose a down-scaled size of the image. Have but don't use Windows anymore. I'm sure regular Win users can give you tips there. There are online sites you can also google which will scale down images for you. Quote

Mass Bassin' Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 welcome and i'm from mass too. Tewksbury pond is a must try and it is in north east Massachusetts. also try Webster lake for some monster smallies. you said you kyack fish...check out the Navionics app, it gives detailed lake maps of 99% of ponds around here. it will definitely help you catch more and if you don't want to spend $10 for it just go on google on a smart phone and go on Navionics web app. it isn't as good as the $10 version because you cant drop pins or see your location but it is still helpful. Good Luck!!! Quote
