I've totaly given up on Fluorocarbon and although I still use mono for my topwaters and on the backside of my C-rigs, I'm looking for some kind of compromize. Mono is a poor choice for me for cranking which is what I was mainly using the fluoro for. I noticed that Yo-Zuri offers a Hybrid Fluoro/Nylon and was wondering about your thoughts and experiences with it. Supposedly it has less stretch than mono, which is what I want to accomplish with a cranking line.

It's a great choice, it's very strong, very abrasion tough, I use #8 to #20 for many things... Even spinning in #4 to 6 is great... Give it a try...

It's a very popular line on this board. #6 spinning and #12 casting. That's about all you need. It's a great all purpose line.

Most guys like it, some don't. The line is inexpensive so it doesn't hurt too much if you are not

impressed. I have been using a lot of other line for the past year or so, mainly to experiment

with some of our sponsors products. Still, I fish Yo-Zuri Hybrid on the majority of my rigs.

It's great line.  I like the Ultra Soft as well.

Just out of curiosity, why are you giving up on Fluorocarbon?  I have been using Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon since it came out and never had an issue.  On the other hand, I have had issues with other brands but some great luck as well.  Sometimes it depends on the set up and what I am using it for.

Its good. Also consider maxima ultragreen & McCoy mean green. The maxima has the least stretch of the three.

I prefer it over p line. It seems to be more manageable IMO, and supposedly has a higher breaking point than it's rated.

Yeah $10 for a spool isn't bad at all. I run the #12 on a handful of my setups. It does the trick.

I used up a bulk spool of the copolymer I had and was happy with the performance, but I wasn't familiar with this particular hybrid. Even though it is thicker for the lb. test, I'm choosing by the diameter as I have a good knowledge of the running depth of most of my cranks.

I'm giving up on fluoro because of line breakage issues. I get a little over zealous attempting long casts with my deep divers and just recently purchased a reel with dual braking to help avoid the minor backlashes I would get as a result. The fluoro would develop a kink and even after removing it, would eventually break at that point on a subsequent cast.

Well, I have a little different take: The marketing is silly!

#4 = 8.5 lb breaking strength with a diameter of .009". So it should be labled #8

#6 = 11.9 lb breaking strength with a diameter of .010."  So that rounds to 12.

#12 = 19.5, .013" and a breaking strength of 19.5 lbs.

I really like Yozuri.

That being said I read nothing but positive reviews about McCoy Mean Green and Xtra Clear.  Its very inexpensive, and IMO is like a better version of YoZuri.  Strong, abrasion resistant, and more supple.

Yo-Zuri is alright line, but if you backlash minorly or get any kinks in the line, it will break off pretty easily. I stopped using it a few weeks ago and switched to McCoy and others.

I only recall that once with Yo-Zuri, but it certainly has been a problem for me with P-Line.

On spinning gear, Yo-Zuri has been awesome.....the awesomeness has been even awesomer since I began using KVD line lube stuff.  Even Yo-Zuri has some memory issues.

I was using Yozuri but it can be hard to find in certain sizes and colors. Decided to try McCoys after reading about it on the forum. I liked it as well or better than Yozuri. Have since switched mainly to braid using leaders were needed.
