Hey all

I've been hearing a lot about how people dip their lures in scent bottles and I have a few questions.

1) what type of lures do you dip in sect bottles

2) how many different scent bottles are necessary for one to own

3) is there a single scent bottle I can use for all applications, so I don't have to buy 1000 different ones

4) thanks :)

Scent dips like JJ's and SpikeIt are made for soft plastics. They not only add scent, they change the color of the plastic, so you only need to purchase the colors you want.

If you're strictly talking about adding scent, there are quite a few to choose from in both liquid and gel forms and in a number of scents (craw, shad, garlic, worm). Those can be used on both hard and soft baits.

Fish Sticks...comes in a tube like chap stick. No messes and it really sticks to the lure.

I own 3 Spikeit bottles(blue, fire red and chartreuse) and a bottle of spray scent(Gulp Alive), all of them in garlic except one bottle of Spikeit, its Gamefish(made a boo boo when I bought it).  I dip soft plastics like senkos, grubs, worms, flukes, plastic swimbaits.  I also keep a ziplock full of Q-tips in my tackle box for applying it to hardbaits and coloring sections of plastics baits like legs, bellies or backs.

So I guess my one scent is garlic.

I like jj's magic, I love the colors but the garlic smell is a plus....

They have a clear if you only want the scent and no color, I like to use them to give the bass something to aim at, dipping the end of your worm or claws of your craw in a color for example.
