What color produces the best for you guys for clear water smallies?  For me lately, a 4.5" Sexy shad color roboworm is the only worm I can get bit on.  In the past I've have a few on Green pumpkin neon but with all the colors available on TW, I'm not sure which other colors I should try.

I have had the best luck with Zoom Trickworms in Green Pumpkin.  I have tried the Robo Worms (only in Aaron's magic) but have not had nearly the success as I have had with the Trickworms.   I also dip the tail in JJ's Chartreuse for a little extra zing.  They certainly hold on a little longer with that stuff.

UPDATE: Well I picked up some different colors at Gander Mountain the other day, I tried Margarita Mutilator at my river today and caught some nicer smallies, Some around 2-2.5 lbs, I haven't caught anything that big since May-June during the prespawn.  I have a few more bags of different colored roboworms that I'll try another day.

It's too bad my Gander Mountain only carries like 5 colors of the 4.5" robos

Same here, and most are usually out of stock so I get them online. Give Oxblood light red flk a try if you pick up some more. This weekends color was hologram shad for me, a good suggestion from Jezi.

Aaron's Magic & Tequilla sunrise work very well for me when dropshotting on Lake Erie for smallies.

When all else fails choose something with some pink, or purple in it!

Hologram Shad.. I bought a pack of these at a sportshow 2 years ago, and last summer I had them out in my box. I tried one just to give it a shot, and the smallies tore them up! Only problem is, I cannot find this color at all locally.

Aaron's Magic has always been a producer for me. However, this season I've been trying a color called sexy shad (along the same pattern as the KVD models) and it's been killing them!

I also like the Aaron's magic color a lot as well as SXE Shad and MMII, and have had good luck with power team lures finicky tickler in bloody wiggler and kitchen sink the last few weeks.

I have good luck with M.M.II, Morning Dawn, and Aaron's Magic

A blast from the past! Haha. A solid top three. I make my own now, but before when I was on the Robos that would of also been my top 3 for sure. Honorable mention for Oxblood W/ Red Flake and New Ayu.

Baby Bluegill, Aaron's Magic and Aaron's Morning Dawn are three of my favorites.

I feel like I’m the only person in the world that doesn’t use roboworms. I have tried a bunch of different kinds of them on a drop shot and shakeyhead and I always do better on strike king dream shots and half shells, or a 3” senko wacky rigged when it comes to dropshotting, or when it comes to a shakey head I have never found a worm that outfishes the strike king fat baby finesse worm. A lot of this probably comes down to what I have confidence in but I just have never found what all the hype is around roboworm. Not saying their bad baits because they obviously catch fish, it’s just for my fishing applications I think that there are better options.

I’ve never bought a roboworm or a z man worm

I only use 2 worms for DS, Robo or Zoom finesse and also throw them Neko due to there buoyancy.

This past summer I filled a bucket with water and tested every plastic worm in my arsenal " many " and was surprised how many sunk as fast as a penny......fine for weightless/Texas.

Maybe just a personal thing but feel like I catch more fish with a buoyant worm when DS, Neko or Carolina.

Aaron's magic is my favorite color.

We have smallmouth lakes in SoCal but they are not the dominate species, Florida strain LMB are. When I target smallies with a drop shot Roboworm my go to colors are FX People's or Oxblood w/LT red flake. The only green worm I have confidence using for smallies is Iovino's Smallmouth Killer. All 3 colors catch LMB so it's a win win.

I use 4 1/2" fat and split the tail 1" with a saftey razor.

Peoples is cinnamon w/blue neon = sculpin

Oxblood is cinnamon /purple neon small red flake = nightcrawler/crawdad

Smallmouth Killer is lime green w/blue neon = shiner/Shad
