St Croix makes it in a casting rod. Are you looking for a spinning rod?

Shop around.

I just moved up to better quality spinning rods half the cost of list and $100 casting rods.

Go online and look.

Just you...

Well technically mine is a Medium/Medium Fast Clarus 6'6", but basically it's moderate for cranking.

My mistake, left out that detail :dazed-7: . a casting rod. St Croixs are nice but a little rich for my blood. Should of clarified the price detail also :dazed-7: . I can find them in the higher end rods, but they seem to be tougher to find in the less than a hundred bucks end rods.

I have a Daiwa Jupiter (Wal-Mart version of the Aird) that's a 6'6"Mf... it's about as fast as I am.  I use mine for spooks, Jerkbaits and poppers.  I got mine on closeout for $30.  Check them out.

I have a 6'6" ML-M casting rod, 1/4oz to 1/2oz and it is fantastic, it is a Fenwick Aetos 661MLMC, I caught 17 smallmouth last Friday on a size 8 Rapala Flat Rap in silver that was fished on this rod, 17 fish hooked and landed. So far I've caught 43 fish with the rod on small cranks and not a single lost fish, I've had misses where the fish hit and didn't get hooked but every fish that had the bait for 3 seconds was landed.
