War Eagle 44 Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Those do look awesome! I'm a big Powell fan and I've been fishing the Max series a long time now but I was seriously about to drop them altogether in favor of the new Crucial line because I haven't liked any rod series they've released since the Max. These might keep them in consideration. I'm thinking these are the redesigned Max series, though I'm totally taking a shot in the dark on that. Either way I really like them. Quote
robster80 Posted August 5, 2014 Author Posted August 5, 2014 yea im definitely gonna pick one up. could use something in a 4 power Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted August 5, 2014 Super User Posted August 5, 2014 I haven't liked any rod series they've released since the Max. How can you not like the endurance over the max? It's built on a better blank and has a better guide train. I have a max 703 and it doesn't come close to the endurance 723's I have. It quickly became a moving bait rod. Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted August 5, 2014 Super User Posted August 5, 2014 Those look nice. Powell makes a really good rod. Quote
dam0007 Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 I told you guys 4 months ago! lmaooo This, in not so exact wording, is to be a replacement of the TW Max line. Quote

I hate the looks of every single line of rods Powell has except the Max, I'm not fishing with anything I'm not 100% satisfied with, there are way to many options out there to settle. Don't get me wrong here I fully realize Powell won't close it's doors because it's lost me as a customer but there's a 99.5% chance that I'm moving on. This also doesn't mean they don't still make great rods. Quote
WdyCrankbait Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 I wonder which price range they are going to land in. I would hate to have to sell off my Endurance's to upgrade. Quote

The Inferno, Max, and Endurance series of rods have the same cork split grip, but just different color schemes. Do you not like purple? Lol Quote

War Eagle 44 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Do you not like purple? Lol No, I don't. Not the shade they chose anyway. Quote
