PrestonP Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I started using crankbaits more and i was wondering what you guys do best on also if you like yours silent or rattling Quote
Super User tomustang Posted August 4, 2014 Super User Posted August 4, 2014 Lucky craft, Strike King, BPS XPS, Bomber. Sound or not depends on the condition if they want one or the other, if they don't bite rattles they get silent next Quote
JimW5283 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Like mentioned above, it depends on the condition. I am a big fan of Strike King products. Not saying I won't use other names, but 80% of the crank baits I have are Strike King. Quote
jbw252 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Strike King & Academy's H2O Xpress cranks. 1 Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted August 4, 2014 Super User Posted August 4, 2014 Favorite for what? Specifically? I'm not being snarky, just seriously raising the point that different cranks are intended for different purposes. So, what that means here is that my favorite for one situation probably isn't my favorite for some similar, but different in one or more aspects, situations. Favorites for cranking wood? . . . . cranking brush? . . . . . rocks? maximum depths? See where I'm going here? You need better perimeters to your question, provide that and you'll get better answers. Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted August 4, 2014 Super User Posted August 4, 2014 Rapala DT's, Bomber, Xcalibur. Rattles depend on the conditions that day. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted August 4, 2014 Super User Posted August 4, 2014 I like pretty much the entire Strike King line. 2 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted August 4, 2014 Super User Posted August 4, 2014 I like pretty much the entire Strike King line. X2 ~ SK is currently putting out Very Good baits, Reasonably Priced and they flat out catch bass. Additionally this 6th Sense Crush Flat 75X Crankbait has been a very pleasant surprise. From Opening day right up to now the Baby Bluegill & Green Sunfish have been getting chewed up. Quickly becoming a fan favorite. A-Jay Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted August 4, 2014 Super User Posted August 4, 2014 Probably ethier the KVD 1.5 or H2O CRS, use silent more than rattles but it really depends. Quote
livetofish28 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Strike king baits from kvd 1.0 up to 6xd. Storm wiggle warts and arashi and recently found rapala in the dt6 Tight lines Andrew 1 Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted August 4, 2014 Super User Posted August 4, 2014 Right now it is a Mann's 1 minus brought in right across the tops of the weeds under the surface. Tomorrow it may be something else. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted August 4, 2014 Super User Posted August 4, 2014 Strike Kings, bombers, normans, rapalas, and bandits make up the bulk of my cranks but there are other brands I use a lot. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted August 5, 2014 Super User Posted August 5, 2014 Rapala DT 7 coffin billed thin body/ single rattle, Dt4&6, Dt 1 Big Fat.. Squares/ Xcalibur 100/ 200 Deep Diver 22 HD....SK 6XD plus Bombers Deep Divers... Speed traps..... Quote
Super User Raul Posted August 5, 2014 Super User Posted August 5, 2014 About 80 percent of the 600 + cranks I own are Rapala. 1 Quote
Slade House Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 depends on where you are fishing. Duo Realis just came out with a new deep diving crank bait that's sick, but generally you can't go wrong with strike king Quote
Super User bigbill Posted August 5, 2014 Super User Posted August 5, 2014 Bomber FAT A, model A. Redapplecraw, browncraw, greencraw, firecraw, baby bass orange bottom. Any presentation. Norman thin N chartreuse killer, get jiggy with it topwater in the low light. Natural bait colors. Norman FATBOY. natural colors. Stay away from the expensive stuff. Keep it simple and catch fish. 1 Quote
