ben watson Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 kb jitterbugs are awesome, 1 of my favorites for topwater besides buzzbaits w/trailer hook, try the weedless jitterbug those are cool too, glty Quote
Pa Angler Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 They are an all time classic. You shouldn't have thrown them away the older ones were made of wood I have some of those but I won't use them they were my Father's I'm 55 and the Bugs are older then me. Quote
Cravin Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 My Dad used them alot and I have two of them but I never really had the confidence with them that I do with a pop R so I dont think I really ever gave them a fair shake. I know they have withstood the test of time well so that must be no accident. Quote
Fishin Phil Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 I have to agree, Jitterbugs are awesome. Really easy to fish. It was probably the lure that got me addicted to fishing. Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted April 15, 2007 Super User Posted April 15, 2007 I fish 70% at night in the summer and the Jitterbug is my number one top water! I use one color BLACK, and I use the BIG jitterbug that them musski guys use. But one thing change the hooks that come with the jitterbug they are junk!!! :-/ I replace them with VMC hooks. 8-) Quote
GatorBK Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Great night time lure , I never have caught many in the day with one though. I need to find one the dang wal mart here dont sell them . > I guess I will have to make a drive to the nearest bass pro shop . I have been using a Heddon -Pop N Image jr at night and catching a lot ,but not the big ones like a jitterbug will. Quote
