MichiganBass80 Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 I know there was a thread on these a while ago, but now that these are "officially" out and more and more people are getting a hold of these I thought we should talk a bit more about them. I got some from Sieberts and TW, but have yet to really get out and use them. How is everyone fishing these?-How are you rigging them? Water Clearity? Shallow/Deep? Anything else you might want to add that might be helpful. My go to fishing technique is usually either crank bait, worms or dropshoting, but I really want to expand into throwing these types of baits so a thread like this will help me a lot. Quote
Super User tcbass Posted August 1, 2014 Super User Posted August 1, 2014 Great post! I was actually going to ask the same thing I got a pack of Bugs but don't know how to use them to the best of their abilities. I know a lot of people use them for punch rigs but the pads that I normally punch haven't been producing this year. So no punching. So what should I do with them now? Rage Rig? Swim Jig trailer? Weightless T-Rigged? Quote

Super User Choporoz Posted August 1, 2014 Super User Posted August 1, 2014 tcbass, Yes Rage rigged and weightless/texposed. Under docks, into brush.....anywhere you'd flip or pitch anything else. Toss it in - let it drop - set hook - repeat Quote
Super User tcbass Posted August 1, 2014 Super User Posted August 1, 2014 I still need to try some other presentations, but I'm killin' 'em Rage Rigged! Near docks and stuff or out on structure and deeper water? Quote
MemphisFF Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 I've been using my ragebugs on a strike king knuckle head its basically a football head and a hook with pretty good sucess.. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted August 2, 2014 Super User Posted August 2, 2014 Near docks and stuff or out on structure and deeper water? Both, the bait is very versatile. Fish The Bug anywhere you would fish a jig or another soft plastic. I can also be fish weightless as a topwater lure. Quote
shawnmc Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 They work awesome as a jig trailer. I also like to flip them in lily pads etc... Quote
