Super User Dwight Hottle Posted August 1, 2014 Super User Posted August 1, 2014 Stevie Nicks was a favorite back in the day. I was in love with her for years before I realized she could really sing... X2 Her stage presence was always over the top. Quote
llPa1nll Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Mike Patton You sir, are brilliant in your selection. Quote
Smokinal Posted August 3, 2014 Author Posted August 3, 2014 I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier but if any of you are really into vocals (like myself), go on youtube and search "vocals only" and your artist or song. Not everything is in there but the ones that are are amazing. It's just the raw voice and the feeling the artist was feeling when they sang it. Listen to some of Steve Perry (Journey) or Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Heart etc... It will blow your stinkin mind! Quote

Super User FishTank Posted August 4, 2014 Super User Posted August 4, 2014 There are too many to mention but here are a few.... Steve Perry Bono (not a fan but his voice has been amazing since day one and still good today) Brent Smith from Shinedown. I heard some of their music and I thought to myself, just another band. They're good but I was not blown away until I saw this..... And my favorite..... David Grohl for just the cool factor and that fact he loves is fans... How many guys can sing, play guitar and chew gum 1 Quote

I'm still undecided after all this time if I like it better than the Lynyrd Skynyrd version though. Quote

FirstnameLastname Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 I just died a little on the inside. Everyday I lose hope in humanity, thanks to you I'm done. I'm done man, it's to much. There is no hope. No safe place to hide from posts like that. I don't care if it's sarcastic even. YOUR POST GAVE ME EYEBAll CANCER! How does that make you feel? Quote

Super User Choporoz Posted August 5, 2014 Super User Posted August 5, 2014 42 posts before Cornell even mentioned? wow....Dio and Dickinson up there, too, but....wow As for female, I'm a lot more fickle. One day it'll be Natalie Merchant, and the next it might be Aretha...then I'll hear "At Last", and I'd swear by Etta James Quote

Lizzy hale and Lacy Mosley as already mentioned are good as well. Lacy has got such a big voice for such a little girl( not age but she's physically tiny). Kimberly Perry is also good. Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted August 5, 2014 Super User Posted August 5, 2014 I try not to criticize anything so personal as music taste....(or maybe I don't try so hard...but I should) But the mention of Vedder above has me reeling a little. I love the emotion and I'm a huge fan of early Pearl Jam work....but, well...this explains it better than I can: 1 Quote
