Super User Chris at Tech Posted July 30, 2014 Super User Posted July 30, 2014 I started with Stick Jackets, but I'm trying to transition to Rod Gloves. Both are fine but the tapered tip on the Rod Glove makes it much easier to get rods into rod locker tubes. Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted July 31, 2014 Super User Posted July 31, 2014 I use Rod Gloves and their Reel Gloves. I use mine in the boat and just pull them off when I pull it out of the locker. The rod and reel cover go right back into the rod locker and stay there till the end of the trip. They go on before I put my rods away. If I'm fishing in someone else's boat, I'll keep them on until I use them and then pull them off and stick them in a pocket of my tackle bag unless they have room in their storage for them. Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted July 31, 2014 Super User Posted July 31, 2014 i use the cheap BPS version. Before that i would load like 5-6 rods in my Toyota camry and then cuss for about 10 minutes at the boat ramp (i fish in the kayak so no rod locker). even though now i have a truck and can transport the rods easier, i still use them. just saving myself that frustration before the day has started is so worth it, leads to a much better day of fishing!
