For the past 30 years I mostly fish at night this time of year. I like to fish from the first quarter through the full moon to the last quarter of the moon phases.

Small rivers are consistently good all day long. Shallow water near current is what I do in summer.

Granted the summers been cool this year in michigan, Texas rig an chatterbait for me. I typically get out at 8-9am an fish till 3 or so.

Dog days? What's that? Lol work is in full swing, haven't wet a hook since post spawn.

Typically I'm still pitching jigs and topwaters, just on deeper docks and locating deeper or cooler spots with cover
