I'm at lake Norman on vacation all week.  i arrived at 9.30 tonight and couldn't wait to fish so since we have rented a house right on the water I went out and tried a buzzbait off the dock and caught my first ever spotted bass within 5 minutes... def not a big fish but still cool to catch one. post-44826-0-91735900-1406432979_thumb.j

Congrats! Spots are a blast to catch, especially once they get around 2.5-3 pounds when they start pulling really hard!
