BrotherOfTheRepublic Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 I want to buy a cheap yet reliable digital scale. What scales do you guys use to weigh your beasts of the water? Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted August 19, 2014 Super User Posted August 19, 2014 I've just got the cheap one from Bass Pro. It leaves a little to be desired with the design. It needs a bigger hook and the back cover needs another indexing pin to keep the cover tight. Overall though, I've had mine for 4 years now and it's always been consistent weight wise. I fish tournaments too and it's always been very close to the tourney scales. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted August 19, 2014 Super User Posted August 19, 2014 I want to buy a cheap yet reliable digital scale. What scales do you guys use to weigh your beasts of the water? I believe that is an oxymoron. I haven't even seen a reliable digital scale no matter what the price. Quote
gripnrip Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 The $20 Rapala is the one I have. The only way to get a scale to be accurate is get it calibrated. All I want one for is to have an idea. I weighed one Sunday on that scale. It weighed 5-7. That is what it weighed when I put it on our club scale. Quote
chris55552 Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Berkley sells one for about 19 dollars. Purchased one after catching a 9lb bass and tested it using a 5lb dumbbell and its within an ounce of accuracy. Quote
