I've just got the cheap one from Bass Pro. It leaves a little to be desired with the design. It needs a bigger hook and the back cover needs another indexing pin to keep the cover tight. Overall though, I've had mine for 4 years now and it's always been consistent weight wise. I fish tournaments too and it's always been very close to the tourney scales.

I want to buy a cheap yet reliable digital scale. What scales do you guys use to weigh your beasts of the water?

I believe that is an oxymoron.  I haven't even seen a reliable digital scale no matter what the price.

The $20 Rapala is the one I have. The only way to get a scale to be accurate is get it calibrated. All I want one for is to have an idea. I weighed one Sunday on that scale. It weighed 5-7. That is what it weighed when I put it on our club scale.

Berkley sells one for about 19 dollars.  Purchased one after catching a 9lb bass and tested it using a 5lb dumbbell and its within an ounce of accuracy.
