Whats so different about square bill cranks?

Thanks

The X quare bills go straighter but benefit when it hits cover. When the bill hits a log it stays straight which makes the back come up and the hooks come up so they don't snag as much. Vs a round bill moves left to right more in action and when it hits a log it rolls some which means one of the hooks could snag the cover.
