Andrewnicol Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Hi, I think you might get this question a lot but couldn't find much info online about it so thought i would ask, what lakes near international drive Florida (30 minute drive max) are best to fish for bass? I am from Scotland and currently on holiday for two weeks but have always wanted to catch a bass. Any help would be appreciated Quote
Super User geo g Posted July 23, 2014 Super User Posted July 23, 2014 You can catch a bass in almost any freshwater in south Florida, whether its a lake or a canal. If you want to catch a peacock you are in a good area. Peacock bass are prolific in that area. Good luck whatever you do. Quote
JellyMan Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I lived there on I-Drive so I know my I-Drive Bass. The pond by the Auqa at Millennia Apartments... I used to live there. Bass galore in there. Weightless watermelon speed worm. This is public and pretty much a guarantee for a few bass. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Aqua+At+Millenia/@28.4844726,-81.4369522,192m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!1m3!3m2!1s0x88e77ea5c289363b:0x8556225945a675a9!2sAqua+At+Millenia!3m1!1s0x88e77ea5c289363b:0x8556225945a675a9 Also, it's a secret and fish at your own risk... I had permission and it is FULL of 10lb+ fish... Pond behind Home Depot named, Lake Millennia. I repeat, it is private so fish at your own risk! If you can get away with it, it is epic and I'm not dropping my name here for any permission. Try not to get in trouble. https://www.google.com/maps/place/The+Home+Depot+-+Millenia/@28.4968766,-81.4257949,767m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x88e77bfe2a9de213:0xafed9dd09eb1bbc5 Also, make sure you do Lake Tohopekaliga. I've got some other spots but I'm not talking! Quote

I doubt FWC will ask for anything tho. Quote

If you want to set something up on a real lake, butler chain is close and it full of monsters. Quote

Super User geo g Posted July 24, 2014 Super User Posted July 24, 2014 Yah, I figured it out. We have an International Drive and Mall in Miami. He never mentioned Orlando. I agree no Peacocks in Orlando. The Turkey Lake deal in Orlando is the best anywhere if you don't have a boat. Check out the rentals! Quote
