blongfishing Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 I need help with fall baits. Every season I make an order from Tackle warehouse on stuff I think I need. What do you think I need and any tips? Quote
smallieking Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Alabama rigs and spinner baits. bass are chasing baitfish that time of year. usually the falling water temps will drive the bait to the black of the creeks. focus on outside creek channels and start at the back and work your way out. Rock holds the big ones this time of the year. my favorite baits for fall fishing is a buzzbait, spinnerbait Alabama rig and a jig. Quote
Bank4Bass Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Lipless cranks, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits work well for me Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 22, 2014 Global Moderator Posted July 22, 2014 Fall is all about moving baits for me. Keep in mind a lot of your forage species have been growing all year by the fall so the fish will often tend to key in on larger baits than they do early in the year. So if you normally fish a 1.5 squarebill you might want to try a 2.5 or a spinnerbait with bigger blades. If you don't have any swimbaits, fall is a great time to try one Quote
