I see that there is already a topic started about this, but these Crucials are on clearance at Gagnon Sports in Oshawa Ontario Canada. Is there a better rod for $100 or should I pull the trigger on the Crucial? I have them holding onto the last 7' 2" MH for me.

X3. Lifetime warranty still in effect. Great rod for the money

It's funny, people have such differing opinions about Crucial rods. I'm a big fan and have 10 or so. A few are a little tip heavy but all in all I'd take them over most rods even at the $160 price range. The problem is a lot of people LOVED the first model Crucials and never really excepted the second model. In my opinion the Crucial is a great rod for the money. I use the one you have on hold all the time.

Bought a 7'2" mh/f Crucial spinning rod that I didnt need.

Just because of what it was for the money and warranty.

Gagnon sports is a great store. It's right by my favourite salmon and steelhead stream too. I would say buy it, I have heard some great things about it.
