GoRavens Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Does anyone know the prices of some of the rods theyve seen? and does anyone know when they will start selling them? Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted July 20, 2014 BassResource.com Administrator Posted July 20, 2014 Most rods range from $89 to $350, with a few nearing the $500 mark. Quote
Tartan34 Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 The *** Archangel will retail from $650 to $725. Quote
Super User Tywithay Posted July 20, 2014 Super User Posted July 20, 2014 It would take an hour to type them all out. Which rods are you curious about? Quote
masterbass Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 I'm interested in the release of the new megabass xx models. In particular the diablo (7'2" f5). This one will be their #1 seller imo. I was hoping for something between the spinnerbait special and emtf. 1 Quote
GoRavens Posted July 20, 2014 Author Posted July 20, 2014 Oh excuse me for being so vague. What about in the 150$ and less range Quote
Bassfishing375 Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 I'm going to pick up the new Veritas 2.0 when it comes out in a few days I believe. Quote
BigMoneyGrip Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Gary Loomis has a new one that is about $200 and looks good. 1 Quote
Cgrinder Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Phenix Maxim might be the new hotness at $100. Quote

Super User Jrob78 Posted July 20, 2014 Super User Posted July 20, 2014 Edge EFX First Strike. Interesting, I somehow missed those. Quote
BigMoneyGrip Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Interesting, I somehow missed those. They look kinda nice! I'll have to check them out when more info is available. Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted July 21, 2014 Super User Posted July 21, 2014 They look kinda nice! I'll have to check them out when more info is available. They are definitely unique. I wish somewhere around sold Edge rods, I would love to get my hands on them. Quote
Tartan34 Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 The rods are sweet in hand, and the Edge booth was my highlight of ICAST. They are at a great price point, IMO, and should compete very well. The grip is not a "hard" carbon fiber grip, and has a little give to the handle. The rods balanced well and were not at all tip heavy. I should have went to these first, but I chose the Bass line as my starting point. The Bass rods are so nice (and should be at that price), that I was let down with the EFX. That being said, I will be buying a couple. Quote

Tartan34 Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 No, but that was my first question. They had a sponge and soaked the grip. The moisture almost gave a "tackiness" to the grip, and that totally alleviated my concerns. Quote
Smallmouth Hunter Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Edge EFX. And the Phoenix maxim are on the top of my list. I'm not very interested in the new shimano Clarus because in the icast vids I have seen on it, the rods are described as having the same blank, but with less resin and cross wrapping. The last gen Clarus has a very dead feeling so if they use the same blank it doesn't sound too great. Just my thoughts. Quote
