1099gl Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 not sure what pound line to use for cranking with crankbaits. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted July 19, 2014 Super User Posted July 19, 2014 If this is for a baitcaster 10 or 12 pound Trilene 100% FC and for spinning gear I like 6lb 100% Trilene FC. It really depends on what gear you are using and what size crankbait. 1 Quote
JeziHogg Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 For squarebills to med divers I like 15lb for the abrasion resistance, for deep divers I like 10 to 12lb so it gets the lure down faster. 1 Quote

smallieking Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 10lb flouro for most all my cranks. sometimes 20 when im throwin a squarebill in super shallow water. the 20lb flouro keeps the bait up in the water column and out of the junk on the bottom Quote
onetime Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 For square bills to mid I use 12lb Invisx, 6xd to 10xd gets 15lb Invisx. Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted July 20, 2014 Global Moderator Posted July 20, 2014 Yo-Zuri 12lb for me. Same here... Mike Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted July 22, 2014 Super User Posted July 22, 2014 Ten for deep, and 12 to 17 for medium or shallow runners. The lighter the cover, the lighter the line. Quote
Super User Raul Posted July 22, 2014 Super User Posted July 22, 2014 It really depends on how deep you want those cranks to dive, less diameter = more depth. Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted July 22, 2014 Super User Posted July 22, 2014 10 - 12lb InvizX for me. All cranking. Quote
