Pre-season is coming up! I've done a few mock drafts for fun. I get the 1st pick in my "main league"...so I would say I am going with either Jamal Charles or Adrian Peterson. Good luck!

No question in my mind I would go McCoy first.

100% agree and it isn't even close.

Should we start a FF thread this year? I think most of our football posts got split between various threads. My drafts don't start till mid and end of next month.

I don't disagree that McCoy is a top RB. But based on Jamal Charles' consistency last season, that is why I would pick him. AP is obviously a #1-3 pick also, but I see him getting dinged up early on.

Id be down for a FF thread. I am in 2 leagues, I already had one draft and my main one is the end of next month.

My roster last season won my league championship with:

P. Manning

E. Lacy/ F. Jackson/ D. Woodhead / A. Morris

R. Cobb/Ty Hilton/B. Hartline/ K.Allen

V. Davis/ C. Clay

S. Goskowski

Cardinals D

When I had first pick my team sucked

I had last pick last year also. I went with Alfred Morris.

I won 3 out of my 4 leagues last year with picks varying from 1 to 6.  I move a lot of players often and take the approach of picking up certain positions weekly like defense and TE unless i have graham or davis.  My first pick last year was mccoy and then as soon as vick went down i picked up roles and had him on my bench and when he got hot, i rode him to the championship in 3 leagues.  People thought i was crazy picking him up but as i counted my winnings they didn't find it quite as funny :)

In a nutshell you get a group of people together to form a league.  Then you each can build your team through a draft from any plater in the league.  there are tons of different ways that goes but that is the gist of it all.  Then each week you face off against another player in the group and you put your best players on your "team".  Points are assigned for certain things and then whoever has the most points wins.

I win enough each year to pay for my NFL ticket package :)  Some leagues are real pricey and have crazy rules too....each one is different and totally customizable.

Well, Ok then. It sounds a bit complicated to me. But sounds fun.

I stopped a guy last summer in his mid 30's driving pretty fast and he was dressed pretty nice and had a bag or two and some bags with snacks in it. I asked him what his hurry was and he said he was going to the lake to meet some friends to play fantasy football. I said, "What is fantasy football?" He looked a little embarrassed and mumbled some answer I didn't understand. I'm not sure who was more puzzled; me or him. I just wrote him a ticket and let him go.

I think shady does even better this year as far as TD's go but maybe not total yards since he has sproles now to spell him a little bit.  Andy Reid always relies heavily on his RB so Charles is a good choice too.

I generally start players depending on who they are playing against. Obviously someone like Manning, Brees, AP, Grahmm, Megatron...you play them no matter what. As far as my flex players...I like using WRs more. Brian Hartline and Danny Woodhead did great for me last season as a flex.

I know there are many who will take Peyton in rd 1. I defiantly won't!

My first pick will be either Mcoy or Charles.

Flex players for me are usually RB unless the league counts return yards then i am going for a guy who gets some touches in the normal offense and also the return game.

I never take a QB first round.

I think there may be quite a few RBs in later rounds available this season, who may be decent flex players.

Trent Richardson, Chris Ivory and Joique Bell are ones that stick out to me.
