MichiganFishing1997 Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Hey guys, I am on a family vacation down in Nashville, and we rented a cute small cabin on Old Hickory lake. We are next door neighbors to Dolly Parton! But, more importantly, have a great lake to fish. All that i have found is that there is a lotttttttt of shallow rock. Murky water, maybe 3 or 4 feet of visibility, and no weeds at all. I have tried a jig and trailer, got one largemouth on a foxy shad spinnerbait, nothing on senkos, cranks, or topwater either. There are a ton of schools of what I am assuming is Shad swimming around? I can see fish attack these schools occasionally, and have seen bass jump multiple times. Any clues on how to get into some bass here would be greatly appreciated. Christian Quote
KevO Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 If they are generating go out and fish the river channel ledges. Throw something black like a jig and worm or a topwater like a popper. If they aren't generating tow your boat about 100 mi west to KY Lake lol. Sorry hate that lake. Quote

When I saw that school on my Lowrance I said we are fixing to catch em....and did we do just that. One after another after another, we caught so many the client said if you want to head in you can because we have caught so many fish in 2 hours I cant even stand up anymore....LOL we kept smashing them. We caught around 60 bass with are best 5 going 18lbs and about 75 % of the fish where 2-4 lbers. caught a lot of fish on a jig, worm, and when they wouldn't bite ever cast I would pick up a 6XD and get them fired back up so we could catch them on every cast again, yes it was that good!!!!
