Posted this on the wrong forum. Have any of you ever heard about or used this reel before. I had ordered a bb1 pro but it was back ordered so they split the difference and I got the team Lews pro speed spool on the way . Thanks

The teem Lew's Pro is a totally different reel. It is their high dollar finesse reel. The BB1 Pro and original BB1 are both primarily made for casting and retrieving crankbaits and the such. It is not nearly as good at finesse fishing where extremely sensitive feel, and the use of light weight lures are common. I would never use my Team Pro to throw cranks if I had a BB1, and would never use a BB1 for weightless plastics and finesse work if I had  Team Pro. They are both nice reels and an do excelent job of what they were intended for.

I hear ya. I was wanting the BB1, but when the lady said I could buy the Team Lews Pro for $179 I had to do it.

Im sure Ill find something to throw with it.

What rod you think i should put it on to throw sinkos and other finness bates??

I use mine on a Legend Extreme 6'10" MXF, where and how you fish should determine the rod you use it on. I like the Extra Fast action but many prefer the slightly slower Fast actions, either would be good choices.

At dunns sporting goods.. I ordered a Lews bb1 pro 7.1:1 but they were backorderd. So the lady called me and told me and I told her I wanted a different reel. So we agreed on a team Lews pro which they have for $219. But for the inconvenience we agreed on 179

I own one, a BB1 Pro, Gold Speed Spin and multiple Tournament Pros. Out of all my Lew's reels, I really like the Team Lew's Pro. I use it for flipping and pitching, as well as jigs and soft plastics. It's been great so far.

You weren't kidding, retailing at 219... may the rest of your bass all be double digits, you are the man. Thanks for sharing.

I found one a month ago for $199 one of my absolute favorite reels. I just replaced my curado 200e7 with it on my chatterbait rod
