Mr_Frodo Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 To calm on Saturday and too windy on Sunday. Had a tough time Saturday. Bluebird skies no wind and very clear water do not make for optimum conditions. Sunday wasn't much better was about 20° cooler and very windy. On Saturday I was able to see a lot of males cruising the shallows but I didn't see any nests and didn't see any females. I don't think they're ready to spawn yet. Looks like the males were just cruising around looking for a good spawning sites. They had no interest in taking any lures and were easily spooked. There were some fish being caught here and there but nobody did really well from the people I talk to. Quote
KrazyKarl99 Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 So we decided to give Morrisville lake a try. Fished from 10:30 to 2pm. Water temp was 60. Caught 4 bass using a jerk bait in 3-6' water. The bite was soft for all of them. Quote

KrazyKarl99 Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 The largest was approximately 3lbs, the other 3 fish were 1 to 1.5lbs. Quote
KrazyKarl99 Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Fished Sciver from 9 to 5pm. Water temps from 55 to 58 at mid day and a bit windy. Had lots of pike trailing my spinners, jerkbaits & bucktail all day, but I just couldn't figure out what they wanted. Other than that I didn't see a darn thing! Quote
bassguytom Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Got out on Sciver with my new Terrova yesterday. I'm pleased with the way this thing works so far. There's a learning curve from the cable but that can be overcome. Saw lots of bass in the shallows with no takers. Only Pickerel were biting. I will keep you posted. Quote
Mr_Frodo Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 I was out yesterday afternoon . I didn't see many fish . Only a few small bass in the shallows but nothing of any size they all look like small males. It was a bit windy and the water was super clear . It's been a rough spring with some wild temperature changes and I think the fish are little bit confused . The water temperature was almost in the mid 60s I was getting readings between 63 and 64 but wasn't getting bit Quote
KrazyKarl99 Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Mr Frodo, were you on Sciver? They should be getting active soon! Quote

KrazyKarl99 Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Nice! I will be out Saturday morning for a bit. It sounds like the water temp should be good for us. I'll post the details after. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted May 19, 2015 Super User Posted May 19, 2015 I drove by the lakes about 4 times this past weekend but didn't fish.....we were on our way to the river to go after shad and stripers Didn't catch any stripers but we caught a bunch of shad and a few decent sized channel cats. As we drove by my dad said he might join this year but he has an inboard jet boat for the river and wonders if the grass will cause a big problem for him....anyone know if the lake is pretty grassy and might interfere with a jet type motor? KrazyKarl99 Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 -Good luck zildjian. Let us know how it goes. - flyfisher, Manor lake has a lot of grass, but I couldn't say for sure if it would be a problem for a jet. 1 Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted May 19, 2015 Super User Posted May 19, 2015 Thanks, and this may sound like a dumb question but is the grass present in all the normal running lanes? From what I understand, the biggest problem with a jet in grassy areas is idling to a spot as it can draw the grass into the intake and make you have to clean it out. So I guess that brings up an additional question of how much idling around is there at that lake meaning lots of no wake zones etc... Quote
KrazyKarl99 Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Sorry, I can't help you on that. Stop at the club house boat ramp and talk to somebody there. Almost always someone coming or going. Quote

DelcoSol Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 After a year off I think I am going to join again next year. How was the fishing this year? 1 Quote
zildjian Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Fantastic! little rough in the summer for me, but spring and fall alone I would grab a memebership again. Quote
