What hook is everyone using on their wacky rigs? I'm going to try wacky rigging for the first time tomorrow so I'm just trying to decide on what hook to use.

Tonight I was using a 1/0 offset worm hook with good results.

The best weedless wacky hooks that I have found are the Trokar weedless wacky hook and the owner camo green weedless wacky hook both are super.

I'm a fan of the Gamakatsu INLINE Circle hooks, size 1/0. I've caught everything on them. They work. However, if you are fishing in weeds, your best bet is to probably rig Texas style vs. wacky. It'll take just as many.

Owner wacky hooks and wacky jigheads.  I used the VMC jigheads and they work great.  I want to try the Jackalls and see how they work. I use 2 sizes, a 1 and a 2/0 and for the jigheads I use 1/16 and 1/8 oz.

I have had decent sucess with VMC Ike Approved Weedless Wacky Hooks. Lakes I fish are full of weeds now so I need the hook to be weedless.

I prefer the Falcon K-wacky weedless hooks.   I use the 1/16 oz weighted ones the most.

Gamakatsu 1/0 finesse weedless hooked perpendicular through 1/2 inch shrink tubing for soft plastic durability.

2/0 owner weedless wacky in green has been my best producer. It caught the bass in my avatar pic.

I wouldn't mind trying the weedless Trokar, but nobody around here seems to carry them.

2/0 Gamakatsu Wide Gap Finesse hook. If I need a weedless hook I go with the VMC weedless wacky hook.

Wait, hook color matters?

All this time I've been getting the regular silver hooks. This is a bit of news to me.

I don't stress much( lol ) about hook color, but have to believe hook style and strength is pretty important when fishing this way. I like Owner 3/0 mosquito hooks.. As well as 2/0 SSW owners ( cutting points ).... But I know in my bag of hooks.. There's a hook in there that will work....almost ANY.. Will work... See what works BEST , for you.

When fishing wacky, weedless is a necessity -- and, I like the Trokar weedless wacky hook the best of any that I have tried.

I have used a variety of hooks, including circle hooks, and find that a 1/0 octopus hook is ideal.

another vote for gamakatsu wide gap finesse hooks. 2/0 mostly but sometimes break out the 1/0 for smallmouth if i seem to be missing some.

Ive lost so many fish and tried many hooks. Whats frustrated me most is those darn circle hooks. Tried all kinds of hooksets. Ill never buy anything but 3/0 trokar ewg's. Ive tried 1/0's they work great on dinks-2lbers, but those bigger fish i could never bury that hook. Bumped up to a stouter hook, and the insane sharpness of a trokar. Now as long as i have my drag locked down, i can bury that hook everytime with trokars.

Maybe it's your rods spine.

I've used many different hooks for wacky rigging recently and all have worked.
